Individual Therapy
My Approach
We believe a healthy amount of discomfort is required in order to find personal growth. You will not grow inside your comfort zone! We encourage clients to lean in when you feel that discomfort. Finding personal growth and change isn't easy but it is well worth the journey!
We utilize a comprehensive, customized approach for each client. We like to get to know our clients to understand which frameworks will be most effective. Most commonly, we take a psychodynamic approach and pull from ACT, CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and positive psychology. We value the use of humor and authentic, relational connection in our work.
We are very excited to bring evidence-based Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to our clients. This style of therapy is highly effective in addressing trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, and the list doesn't stop there! Click HERE to learn more about ART.

What to Expect
It's totally normal to feel a little nervous or anxious; especially if it's your first time in therapy! The first session, often called the intake session is all about gathering information. We will spend about the hour discussing everything from your current living situation, eating/sleep habits, medication history, and current problems. We like to get a very clear picture of what your life looks like so we can work on creating goals that fit your needs.
You may not feel 100% safe to disclose all your deep dark secrets and that's okay; it takes time to build a relationship together. No pressure to talk through anything you aren't ready for! We'll get there when we need to.
